Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2025
The short version
TinyPixel processes all images entirely within your browser. Nothing you do on this site is transmitted to any server. We do not collect, store, or share your images, files, or personal data in any form.
How image processing works
Every operation — resizing, compression, cropping, format conversion, and EXIF stripping — runs locally using the browser's built-in Canvas API and JavaScript. When you drop an image onto the page, it is read directly from your device into browser memory. It is never uploaded to a server, never written to a database, and never shared with any third party. When you close the tab, all images are immediately discarded from memory.
Data we do not collect
- — Image files or their contents
- — Filenames or metadata
- — Email addresses or account information (we have no accounts)
- — Payment information (the tool is free)
- — Location data
Analytics and cookies
We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as aggregated page view counts) to understand which features are used most. If analytics are present, they do not use cookies that identify individual users, do not fingerprint devices, and do not track behaviour across other websites. Your settings preference (light/dark mode) is stored in your browser's localStorage only on your device and is never transmitted.
Third-party services
This site uses Google Fonts to serve typefaces. When your browser requests a font file, Google may log the request as per their own privacy policy. No other third-party services with access to your data are in use.
Children's privacy
TinyPixel does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Because we collect no personal data at all, this tool is safe to use for any age group.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
